Insomnia

This insomnia is getting old. So is being cooped up. This sprained foot has really put a damper on the new year. I know Emma is feeling out of sorts and really missing her daddy. Tonight at prayer time, without prompting, she said, "God, please bless my daddy and keep him safe and keep me safe, and please let my daddy know that I'm safe with my mommy and please let him come home soon." Broke my heart. She is really doing well at gymnastics. She is the best on the balance beam and can do a cartwheel as well. Tomorrow it is supposed to snow. We'll see how that turns out ;) I would welcome some, just so that Emma can play in it, but I also am dying to get out of here. I've been trying to think of how to fix up the house and make it marketable without a lot of money. No brilliant revelations yet ;) maybe I can get some sleep and plan tomorrow. Today's song: "please come home soon."

Magical Vacation Day 1

Our surprise Disney trip was so wonderful. The weather was great, the crowds were manageable, and the hotel was marvelous. The only disappointment was Emma's delayed excitement for the trip, but what do you expect? She is 4 :) We got in pretty late the first night and were immediately greeted with "Aloha's" an leis. The Polynesian definitely knows how to make its guests feel right at home. We stayed in the Samoa building, and it was definitely the place to stay. We were so close to the Grand Ceremonial House and both pools. By the time we had dropped our bags off at the room and explored Captain Cooke's restaurant and the downstairs gift shop, our luggage was delivered to our room, along with our Garden Grocer order. We had never used Garden Grocer before, and I have only good things to say about them. Plus, buying water allowed us to use our snacks to get yummy food at the Food and Wine festival! We had a Mickey towel animal waiting on our bed, the only one of the trip I'm sorry to say. After checking out the resort a little, we turned in for the night so that we could get up the next morning for breakfast at 1900 Park Fare.
